The Dubai Dancing Fountain shows

The lane around Souk Al Bahar is much less crowded and offers an enjoyable experience of  watching the Dubai Fountain shows. Spectators arriving from The Dubai Mall need to set off  about 15 minutes before the start of the performance to avoid the crowds at the Dubai Mall  exit and Souk Al Bahar Bridge.

To have a great view, book a table or arrive early at one of the restaurants with outdoor  seating overlooking the lake and fountain.

The Dubai Fountain may not be the best Fountain in the world, but when everything is  considered, it is really the most attractive Fountain. The most powerful water jets can send  water nearly 150 meters into the air, and when lights and music are added, you end up with a  show like no other at all.

About the Dubai Dancing Fountain

The Dubai Water Fountain was opened in May 2009, construction of the Dubai Fountain costs  800 million AED, and the design of the Dubai Fountain was prepared by the American  company “Wet Design”.

At any moment, the dancing Dubai Fountain can push up to 83,000 liters of water into the air,  so it doesn’t take much to figure out why it has turned into the most beautiful tourist attraction

in Dubai. The pressure required to blast such a volume of water up to the sky creates a kind of  sonic boom, and this makes the experience unforgettable.

The Dubai Dancing Fountain Location:

The Dubai Mall dancing fountain is located on Burj Khalifa Lake in the center of Dubai  between the Dubai Mall, Dubai Aquarium, Souk Al Bahar and the towering Burj Khalifa and  is considered one of the most important places to visit in Dubai. Lake Tower is an artificial  lake and has an area of about 122 thousand square meters.

Dubai Fountain Shows

The Dubai Fountain has “jet taps” that spray water into the air in different combinations and  patterns that can make the water at the Dubai Fountain dances. Some taps can spray water at  more than 150 metres. In addition to the “dancing water” in the Dubai Fountain shows, there is  also light that makes the fantastical effect. The beam of light from the fountain in Dubai can  be seen from more than 30 km. And because the choreography and light are not enough, there  is also music that accompanies the performance.

How is the music chosen for the displays at the Dubai Dancing Fountain?

Peter Kubik, head of choreography for Los Angeles-based WET, which designed and operates  the fountain, says he and his colleagues have a responsibility to ensure their “dignity is  preserved.”

“The Emirate of Dubai is aggressively trying to market itself as an international destination,  and the Dubai Dancing Fountain, which welcomes many visitors to Dubai, is a major part of  that,” he says. “We need to make sure that this fountain retains its dignity and that the music  chosen for it, must be appropriate and include the tastes of the viewers. Yes, we can get

excited every now and then, but we always have to be careful to make sure we don’t do any  mistake in choosing the music for this iconic attraction. “

The choice of music being played is tightly controlled. The music selection process is done by  real estate developer Emaar, who submits the ideas to WET to see what works best. Other  times, WET selects the music and sends a shortlist to Emaar. Organizers of special events  must also have their music selections pre-set by WET.
